The objective of this study was to investigate the profile, behavior, and trends of Brazilian scientific research on the laws of bibliometrics from the perspective of the SPELL database and in light of sociometry. Methodologically, social network analysis was used on 110 studies. The main results were: 2022 and 2020 were the most central periods; Revista de Administração da Unimep and Desenvolvimento em Questão were the most influential journals; Udo Strassburg, Juliano Francisco Baldissera, and Clóvis Fiirst were the authors with the greatest centrality; Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul, and Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro were the most important institutions; The most central keywords were bibliometrics, scientific production, Brazil, bibliometric analysis, academic production, administration, scientometrics, bibliometric study, sustainability, accounting, Lotka's Law, bibliometric research, corporate governance, risk management, tourism, knowledge management, competitive advantage, national journals, Bradford's Law, innovation, competency-based management, bibliometric laws, people with disabilities, laws of bibliometrics, integrative literature review, finance journals, and Enanpad. This study concludes by highlighting the state of the art regarding bibliometric laws, concerning their profile, behavior, and trends in Brazilian academia from the perspective of the SPELL database and in light of sociometry, focusing on the structures and formations of the social networks of the actors and elements that compose the studies under investigation, thus contributing to motivating and maturing the analysis of bibliometric research from the perspective of bibliometric laws.
