Abstract

O presente artigo teve como objetivo analisar se a política pública “Territórios da Cidadania” poderia ser intitulada “Território da Estadania”, já que, apesar de a configuração da política gerar um discurso de cidadania, reforça as relações de dependência da sociedade perante o Estado. Com base nisso, apresenta-se, sinteticamente, o percurso da cidadania no Brasil. Em seguida, buscou-se apresentar a política Territórios da Cidadania e demonstrar as interfaces dessa política com a ideia de “Estadania”. Posteriormente, apresentou-se a interpretação que os representantes da sociedade local, que participam da política Território da Cidadania Sertão de Minas, fazem em relação à cidadania e aos efeitos dessa política pública. Procurou-se mostrar, por meio dos relatos dos representantes as interfaces da “Estadania” e da Cidadania nessa política. Considera-se que a política Territórios da Cidadania poderia, sim, ser chamada de “Territórios da Estadania”, visto que sua configuração é realizada por meio das intervenções do governo federal, estaduais e municipais, recepcionadas pela sociedade
