ANALYSIS OF THE COMPETITIVE FACTORS OF THE SOY AGRO-INDUSTRIAL SEGMENT IN RIO GRANDE DO SUL: 1998-2019

Abstract

The objective of the present work was to stratify the soy processing companies operating in Rio Grande do Sul, based on their perceptions about the determinants of competitiveness. The methodological procedures used to meet the objective of this research include the realization of a theoretical framework that contemplates the Systemic Competitiveness Model and the collection of primary data, obtained through the application of semi-structured questionnaires for a sample of 50% of the total companies active in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with closed and open questions, derived from categories constructed from the theory of Systemic Competitiveness and analyzed using the Cluster Analysis (AA) technique. The Systemic Competitiveness (CS) model proved to be useful for the analysis of the competitiveness of soy processing companies in Rio Grande do Sul and allowed to verify the perception of different companies on the importance of aspects related to the importance of the formation of social structure - , infrastructure, educational policy, environmental policy, import policy and technological aspects for the competitiveness process - Mesonível, of the budgetary, monetary, fiscal, commercial and exchange policy - Macronível and of the managerial capacity, business strategies, innovation and development in the company's production sector - Micronível.
