a Influência da Territorialidade sobre as Práticas dos Agricultores: uma análise da mobilidade produtiva dos orizicultores do Rio Grande do Sul

Neste artigo é proposta uma análise dos conceitos de mobilidade produtiva e territorialidade objetivando mostrar o quão relevantes são na compreensão das práticas individuais. O caso dos orizicultores do Rio Gra nde do Sul oferece um exemplo empírico particularmente apropriado para investigar a relação entre a formação de normas coletivas e as práticas espaciais dos agricultores. A existência de valores de origem rural compartilhados entre os rio-grandenses produz uma relação particular com a mobilidade, inclusive entre os próprios agricultores. Por outra parte, o fato de os arrozeiros se reconhecerem conjuntamente a part ir de um território estadual e de práticas compartilhadas pela prof issão os conduz a procurar terras ao sul ou no Uruguai, ao invés do que tradicionalmente se faz: ir para as frentes pioneiras brasileiras. Pretendemos, dessa forma, demonstrar a ocorrência, no plano territorial, de um certo efeito coercitivo das normas compartilhadas por uma profissão.
