A dívida social acumulada no Brasil em relação à carência habitacional impressiona. As desigualdades sociais, características da sociedade brasileira, se manifestam fisicamente nos espaços segregados das cidades. O direito a moradia embora garantido constitucionalmente, ainda enfrenta dificuldades para ser efetivado. Esse descompasso sócio-habitacional estimula um exercício de reconstrução da evolução e perfis das políticas habitacionais implementadas no Brasil, evidenciando as linhas de ação e os objetivos da proposta de intervenção socioeconômica do Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida, demonstrando seus avanços e diferencial em relação à trajetória da política habitacional no Brasil. Observa-se que, historicamente, as políticas habitacionais não atingiam de forma eficaz a classe mais necessitada, com renda mensal de até três salários mínimos, realidade que começou a ser transformada com o Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida, mesmo com as falhas operacionais e institucionais ainda existentes.Downloads
