A Participação como Pressuposto da Democracia

O texto discorre sobre a questão da participação como pressuposto principal da democracia. Inicialmente discute aspectos conceituais da participação como: “tomar parte em”, compartilhar, associar-se pelo sentimento ou pensamento. Logo após discute a evolução da participação na democracia ocidental: começando com o pioneirismo da Grécia Clássica até a experiência participativa da democracia liberal burguesa na modernidade. A terceira seção apresenta o debate da participação na Teoria Democrática Contemporânea, mais precisamente entre os teóricos considerados institucionalistas versus os participacionistas. Nas considerações finais, o texto aponta para a relevância da participação na conjuntura política e social da atualidade, principalmente com a experiência do movimento europeu designado “Democracia Real Já”.Downloads
