Complexidade e Desenvolvimento

Este artigo tem o objetivo de analisar algumas contribuições da abordagem da complexidade para os estudos sobre o desenvolvimento. O pressuposto nele adotado é que tais contribuições derivam do entendimento da abordagem da complexidade sob dois pontos de vista distintos. O primeiro é o da complexidade enquanto um novo paradigma científico. O segundo ponto de vista é o da complexidade entendida como uma teoria científica. A análise da literatura efetuada evidencia a importância dada por vários autores à abordagem da complexidade enquanto um novo paradigma científico, inclusive para os estudos sobre o desenvolvimento. Por outro lado, de um ponto de vista teórico, a literatura analisada no artigo indica que os resultados das pesquisas sobre a complexidade ainda são bastante genéricos.
