DIGNIDADE HUMANA E MARSILIO FICINO: A PERSPECTIVA DO RENASCIMENTO

Abstract

O artigo compõe o esforço de traçar a perspectiva da dignidade humana no Renascimento. Ele compõe um conjunto de análises sobre a dignidade e a citada época. O primeiro autor a ser destacado foi PICO DELLA MIRANDOLA. Com isso, o artigo tenta destacar a importância dessa época na construção da concepção de dignidade humana, por meio do pensamento de MARSILIO FICINO. Notoriamente, a gradual independência do ser humano de Deus – do seu criador – força-o ao reconhecimento de sua importância no cosmos e do respeito mútuo pelos seus semelhantes, pois, no fundo, todos os corpos são animados pelo “sopro de Deus”. A partir da perspectiva da centralização do ser humano no mundo da vida, a visão do Homem sobre si mesmo começou a alterar-se no sentido de uma maior valorização em termos absolutos.

Professor do Curso de Direito e do Mestrado em Sociologia da UFPel; Doutor em Direito pela Unisinos; Mestre em Ciências Jurídico-Filosóficas pela Universidade de Coimbra; Especialista em Ciências Penais pela PUCRS.
