CAPITÃES DA AREIA: O JUIZ E SEUS ARGUMENTOS

A partir do livro Capitães de Areia, de Jorge Amado, no qual um personagem, o juiz, escreve uma carta para o Jornal da Tarde manifestando sua opinião sobre cerca de cem meninos que aterrorizam a cidade de Salvador, em 1935, iniciou-se uma pesquisa que traça um paralelo entre a carta e as sentenças produzidas nos Juízos de Infância e Juventude atuais no Espírito Santo, buscando identificar os argumentos que justificam a ação de “enviar para o reformatório” os tais “Capitães de Areia”.
