Dor musculoesquelética na Síndrome Pós-Covid-19: Uma revisão integrativa

Resumo

A Síndrome Pós-Covid-19 é caracterizada pela persistência e/ou aparecimento de novos sintomas e anormalidades que persistem além de 12 semanas do início da Covid-19 aguda e não são atribuíveis a diagnósticos alternativos. Dentre os sintomas descritos na literatura a respeito da Síndrome Pós-Covid-19, a dor musculoesquelética está entre os mais frequentes. O presente estudo teve como objetivo revisar a literatura e identificar a forma de apresentação e fatores preditores para a dor musculoesquelética na Síndrome Pós-Covid-19. Uma pesquisa bibliográfica abrangente foi realizada nas seguintes bases de dados: Medline (via PubMed), Embase, PEDro, Lilacs, Scopus, Web of Science e Cinahl no período de 22 de abril a 14 de junho de 2022. Dos 2.044 artigos encontrados, 16 foram incluídos, compreendendo um total de 13.089 pacientes. Os resultados mostraram que mialgia (27,12%, 11 estudos), artralgia (28,88%, 9 estudos), artromialgia (43,07%, dois estudos) e dor musculoesquelética (15.3%, 1 estudo) foram os sintomas álgicos musculoesqueléticos presentes na Síndrome Pós-Covid-19. O sexo feminino foi um fator de risco para a presença de artralgia e mialgia, enquanto a idade entre 40 e 59 anos foi associada à persistência de artromialgia. Elevado índice de massa corporal (IMC) foi um fator preditor para a presença da mialgia. A severidade da infecção e a necessidade de hospitalização não foram preditoras para a presença de mialgia e artralgia na Síndrome Pós-Covid-19. Estudos futuros de maior nível de evidência e maior rigor metodológico são encorajados.
