Abstract

We have tried to analyze how cooperative organizations can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Objectives. The present proposal becomes essential insofar as it seeks to reflect on this relationship, contributing to the discussions about the role and contributions of cooperativism in the implementation of the ODS and its Goals, considering its specific organizational and management aspects. Considering the attributes deriving from the nature of the cooperative movement, as well as the evident manifestation of contradictions and limits in the dominant and hegemonic model of society, cooperatives, through their social actors, guided by principles of solidarity and sharing assume a prominent role in the promotion of ODS in the world. They become determinants in the process of awareness, transformation and cultural change of individuals so that they can rethink the action and the role played in the world.
