The investigation of value creation in the context of stakeholder theory (TS) is recent. Unlike the research already carried out, the article aims to understand an intellectual structure that connects authors who research TS with a focus on creating value. As a way of operationalizing a research, he searched for articles published in the Web of Science database indexed to the term stakeholder theory and then refined by the term value creat*. In the analysis of the data presented, the 35 most cited authors in the field, within a population of 2,058 references. Using multidimensional scaling quantitative techniques (MDS) and exploratory factor analysis (AFE) he analyzed the co-citations, which identified the theoretical relationships in the field. The results allow us to infer four streams of value creation in the context of the TS: social focus of the company's responsibility; management for gains and performance; classic view of value creation; and a contemporary view of the discussion of TS and value creation. As a contribution, he has a different perspective from the research already carried out and related to ST and value creation, as it seeks to demonstrate the intellectual structure that connect the authors, as well as identifying who is responsible for creating value in the context of the ST.
