Abstract

The central theme of this text is the concept of the Rule of Law. Therefore, it initially rescues its founding nucle (the separation between right and power and power subordination to the law). Subsequently, it emphasizes its ten fundamental dimensions. Finally, it presents a broad concept of Rule of Law (in a strong sense: as State of justice) and links it to the Brazilian Constitution of 1988. The method used was the hypothetical-deductive, and the technique was the bibliographical research.
