OS DIREITOS HUMANOS COMO MÍNIMO ÉTICO PARA O DIÁLOGO INTERCULTURAL

O presente texto pretende discutir a questão da universalidade dos direitos humanos no âmbito da sociedade multicultural. Apresenta a proposta de Otfried Höffe, que considera os direitos humanos como elemento de uma moral jurídica que obriga os indivíduos reciprocamente. Defende, ainda, que os direitos humanos representam o mínimo ético para se discutir o problema da igualdade e da diferença em uma sociedade marcada pela diversidade cultural. Por fim, refere que os direitos humanos são patrimônio comum da humanidade, e que sua universalidade mediadora é indispensável para a construção de um diálogo intercultural e para a elaboração de propostas cosmopolitas de emancipação social.
