Defrontando-se com a dor do outro – experiências de alunos iniciantes em enfermagem

Ao prestar cuidados a pessoas que sentem dor os alunos podem ter sentimentos e sensações conflituosos. O objetivo deste trabalho é refletir sobre as experiências vivenciadas por estudantes de graduação em enfermagem iniciantes no cuidado desses pacientes. Através do relato de experiênciasprocura-se discutir os aspectos significativos no cuidado prestado, nos sentimentos experimentados pelas autoras e no processo de cuidar e aprender a ser cuidador. Trata-se de dois depoimentos distintos, narrados em primeira pessoa e analisados separadamente. A interação com a situação de dor e sofrimento despertam o conteúdo humano, manifesto através de sentimentos e sensações como tristeza, ansiedade, projeção ou introjeção do sofrimento e impotência. Evidencia-se o compromisso profissional e ético com o paciente e o desejo de contribuir para o seu bem-estar. O professor é identificado
como fonte geradora de ansiedade por ser alguém que avalia, sendo também suporte emocional e referência para a aprendizagem. A discussão do vivido permite reelaborar as situações e dar significado a elas, compreendendo que o crescimento pessoal e profissional é gradual, se faz através de
experiências quando se aprende a lidar com os próprios sentimentos. O conhecimento e as experiências durante o curso proporcionam crescimento, amadurecimento e autoconfiança, constituindo as bases de sustentação para
a conduta profissional.
