CONCEPÇÕES E PRÁTICAS DE ESTUDANTES DE ENFERMAGEM EM RELAÇÃO À FAMÍLIA

Este estudo teve por objetivo conhecer as concepções de alunos de Graduação em Enfermagem sobre família e como estes estudantes trabalham com famílias no decorrer de suas atividades práticas de aprendizagem. Para tanto realizamos uma investigação de caráter qualitativo, exploratório e descritivo com estudantes do sétimo período do curso de uma Universidade localizada na Região Noroeste do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul. Os dados foram coletados entre outubro e novembro de 2007 por meio de questionário. A análise dos dados, com categorias definidas a priori, revela conceitosde família, composição familiar, funções da família e atividades
acadêmicas com famílias. Os resultados mostram que os
estudantes reconhecem o papel e a importância da família no processo de cuidar, mas denunciam a existência de uma lacuna no ensino em relação a esta área, estando a prática fundamentada, porém, na sensibilidade como uma característica pessoal para as situações que envolvem esta temática.
