A educação em saúde é um importante processo na atuaçãodos serviços de saúde, é um avanço no sentido de conservar e
ampliar a dimensão ética que todo trabalhador da saúde deve
adotar na sua prática. Sendo assim, este estudo tem como objetivo tecer reflexões acerca da relevância da educação em saúde sob a ótica dos trabalhadores de enfermagem, dada a importância de sua participação no processo de cuidar. Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica que se utiliza dessa metodologia para apontar os caminhos que permitam discutir a educação em saúde. Para a realização deste, buscou-se embasamento científico em livros, e artigos de periódicos nacionais na biblioteca eletrônica – SCIELO, no período de 2000-2011. O sucesso da educação em saúde está na atenção que se deve ter sobre esse tema determinando que o indivíduo esteja no processo central para a prática educativa ocorrendo assim plena reabilitação e recuperação do enfermo. Portanto, o profissional deve estar envolvido no principal objetivo
que é a reabilitação do paciente, por meio desse processo. Existe muito a ser alcançado no que se refere à educação em saúde, espera-se que este estudo colabore para isso.
