Fatores preditivos da infecção pelo HIV em jovens: Análise baseada no modelo Weight of evidence

Introdução: A população jovem está cada vez mais susceptível a infecção pelo vírus da imunodeficiência adquirida. O conhecimento dos fatores preditores à infecção pode contribuir nas respostas aos gaps das políticas públicas em saúde voltadas aos jovens. Objetivo: Identificar os fatores preditivos da infecção pelo Vírus da Imunodeficiência Adquirida em jovens utilizando o modelo Weight of Evidence (WoE). Método: Estudo transversal, realizado com 200 jovens entre 15 e 24 anos, no Centro de Testagem de Aconselhamento de um município de grande porte do Estado da Paraíba, no período de fevereiro a junho de 2021. Foi realizado teste rápido para a detecção do Vírus da Imunodeficiência Adquirida e aplicado o instrumento de Avaliação Socioestrutural e Comportamental – ASECOMP-HIV. Empregou-se o modelo WoE para identificar a influência dos fatores preditores sob o desfecho sorológico. Resultados: A positividade no teste de HIV foi de (4/2%). As análises mostraram interações significativas nas variáveis sexo (p=0,036), orientação sexual (p=0,012), com quem reside (p=0,024), sexo em troca de benefícios (p=0,019), discriminação por orientação sexual (p=0,007), percepção de risco de ter adquirido o HIV (p=0,048), sexo não vaginal (p=0,002) e relacionou com alguém soropositivo para o HIV (p=0,019). Conclusão: O enfrentamento da infecção pelo HIV entre jovens exige o reconhecimento de sua natureza complexa e multifatorial, demandando a análise integrada dos fatores sociodemográficos, comportamentais e, sobretudo, estruturais que condicionam a vulnerabilidade dessa população.
