CÂNCER E IMAGEM CORPORAL: Possíveis Relações

A incidência de câncer vem aumentando, no Brasil, devido a mudanças de caráter sócio-econômico. Nesse contexto, estudos diversos têm sido realizados acerca da temática, principalmente no que diz respeito às conseqüências da doença na vida do paciente e de sua família. No entanto, através de pesquisa bibliográfica, constatou-se pouca literatura relativa às relações entre câncer e imagem corporal. Este trabalho, portanto, surge dessa constatação e atenta à enorme importância que a temática assume para os psicólogos que trabalham com pacientes oncológicos, tanto em âmbito hospitalar como clínico. Tem como finalidade articular os estudos já existentes, esclarecendo conceitos e modos de pensar e trabalhar com esse assunto. Para tal, realizou-se uma reflexão teórica, a partir de uma pesquisa bibliográfica focada em artigos científicos.Downloads
