Estresse percebido e alterações de hábitos de vida em mães brasileiras na pandemia de covid-19

Resumo

A pandemia de COVID-19 gerou alterações no estilo de vida da população e contribuiu para o aumento da exposição ao estresse, principalmente entre as mães. No entanto, são poucos os estudos que investigaram o impacto da pandemia sobre o estresse, o comportamento alimentar e o estilo de vida desse público. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as relações entre os níveis de estresse percebido, comportamentos alimentares e de estilo de vida relacionados à saúde de mães brasileiras durante a pandemia de COVID-19. Para isso, utilizou-se um questionário online composto por dados sociodemográficos, Escala de Estresse Percebido (PSS-10), Questionário de Três Fatores de Alimentação (TFEQ-R21) e mudanças nos hábitos de vida durante a pandemia da COVID-19. A percepção de estresse dos participantes mostrou uma mediana de 24,0 (IIQ: 19,00-29,00), com níveis moderados e altos em 92,8% (n=167) das participantes. Os níveis mais altos de estresse mostraram uma relação positiva com os comportamentos de Alimentação Emocional (r=0,379; p<0,001) e Descontrole alimentar (r=0,350; p<0,001). Além disso, níveis mais altos de estresse também foram associados à inatividade física, pior qualidade do sono, maior consumo de álcool, biscoitos e doces. Conclui-se que o alto nível de estresse percebido em mães brasileiras durante a pandemia de COVID-19, está associado a aspectos disfuncionais do comportamento alimentar e mudanças negativas nos hábitos de vida materno.
