Child labor in the contemporany: The possibility of regulation of child influencers in the light of children’s rights

Abstract

ABSTRACT: This study explores the possibility of regulating the work of child influencers in view of the effective protection of children and adolescents. Not paying attention to age, new forms of work brought about by the digital age are also being practiced by children and adolescents without adequate regulation for their exercise. It is understood, therefore, that although the legal system values the full protection of children and adolescents, the legislation remains inert in the face of this reality, which can have incisive consequences for the child public in the short and long term. Furthermore, it was necessary to point out how child labor takes place on the internet, which, depending on its degree, can cause consequences such as those of a mental and social nature. In this way, it is concluded that there is a need for national regulation in order to resolve any questions and allow effective supervision. The work exposed uses the bibliographic research model, seeking to demonstrate the need for relevant legislation, which is exploratory and descriptive, which is used based on already published material, such as theses and articles, in a hypothetical-deductive character, in which interviews were carried out with professionals in the area, seeking greater engagement with the problem, in order to promote integration between the knowledge obtained and society.
