Abstract

O trabalho versa acerca de resenha crítica acerca da obra “Um discurso sobre as ciências”, do sociólogo Boaventura de Sousa Santos. De início, fez-se uma síntese da obra, com o escopo de identificar o núcleo da pesquisa e o pensamento do autor. Após, fez-se algumas considerações críticas, concluindo-se que a busca por uma democratização do conhecimento científico vislumbra a emergência de um novo paradigma, denominado por Boaventura “paradigma de um conhecimento prudente para uma vida decente”. A necessidade desse novo paradigma é reflexo das mudanças sociais e da transição da modernidade sólida para a modernidade líquida, conforme definido por Bauman.

Advogada. Graduada em Direito pela Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul.
