CONSELHOS TUTELARES: Sua Importância na Proteção dos Direitos da Criança e do Adolescente

O presente artigo tem por objetivo tecer considerações concernentes aos Conselhos Tutelares a partir de seus aspectos mais relevantes e de alguns pontos controvertidos. O Conselho Tutelar é regulado pela Lei nº 8.069/90 – Estatuto da Criança e do Adolescente – e consiste num órgão encarregado pela sociedade de zelar pelo cumprimento dos direitos da criança e do adolescente, constituindo, por esse motivo, um órgão de máxima importância no contexto social moderno. Também integram o estudo considerações sobre a função, os requisitos para a candidatura, a escolha, entre outros aspectos interessantes a respeito dos conselheiros tutelares que são as pessoas que compõem o Conselho Tutelar.
