Abstract

The aim of the present study was analyzed the Brazilian scientific production on biology teaching in Youth and Adult Education (YAE). It is a State of the Art that characterizes this production as the distribution (space and time) and discusses the aspects that aroused the intellectual interest of researchers to produce knowledge about the teaching of biology in the YAE. The corpus of the analysis consisted of articles (28), dissertations (54) and theses (02). The selection of articles considered the field of investigation, the impact factor of the periodical, period and the search descriptors. The selection of dissertations and theses involved the identification of postgraduate programs in the field of education and teaching, period and descriptors. All study was based on the categories of fleckian epistemology. The results indicate an asymmetry in the distribution of the research in the Brazilian regions. The activity of teachers of basic education is the most important aspect involved in scientific production, since the practice of teaching biology in the YAE modality is imbued with elements of resistance and constitute the passive connections mediated by the active connections of the Collective of Researchers in Science Education (CRSE).

Possui graduação em Licenciatura em Ciências Biológicas pela Universidade Federal de Goiás - Campus Jataí (2004). Mestre em Educação em Ciências e Matemática pela Universidade Federal de Goiás(2009). Atualmente é Professor Assistente II da Universidade Federal de Goiás (Instituto de Ciências Biológicas / Departamento de Biologia Geral), Coordenador da Área de Educação do Departamento de Biologia Geral - ICB/UFG, do Laboratório de Estágio Supervisionado e Ensino de Ciências (LESEC) e do Grupo de Pesquisa "Colligat - (re)pensando a formação de professores de ciências e biologia". Possui experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação em Ciências / Biologia, Formação de Professores de Ciências/Biologia, Educação de Jovens e Adultos

Maria Helena da Silva Carneiro, Universidade de Brasília

Doutora em Didática das disciplinas: Biologia (Paris VII); Mestre em Ecologia Humana - Université Paris Descartes (1978); Mestre em Didática das Disciplinas - Biologia pela Universidade Paris VII (1981). Atualmente é professora do Programa de Pós-Graduação em Educação, Faculdade de Educação da Universidade de Brasília. Tem experiência na área de Educação, com ênfase em Educação Científica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: aprendizagem de conceitos científicos, ensino de ciências, ensino de biologia, imagens e ensino de ciências, livro didático e aprendizagem e divulgação do conhecimento científico.
