Goal: This study aims to trace an epidemiological profile of patients / staff attended in the physiotherapy clinic of a refrigerator in Rio Grande do Sul. Method: The research is characterized as a retrospective observational study. The population was composed of 49 tokens. The inclusion criterion was to have complete physiotherapeutic care records and the exclusion criteria were to have incomplete records or to have repeated records (reassessment records). All statistical analyzes were performed in the SPSS version 8.0 and p significant when less than 0.05. Results: Among the patients, a prevalence of males was identified, married, median age at 36 years and low level of schooling. The production sector was the one that presented the most complaints (46.9%) and the most pointed segments with presence of discomfort was the upper limb (46.7%). Analyzing the comparisons, it was found significant between the complaint site and the worker's sex, where women had more complaints of chest pain (p = 0.044) and cervical (p = 0.053) than men. Conclusion: These data demonstrate the need for preventive physical therapy to assist in diagnosing the causes of these discomforts with a subsequent plan of action to eradicate them. It is suggested that new epidemiological studies be performed to create a broader and more reliable profile, since the sample of this study was small. Further studies are also suggested as to why discomfort is occurring more frequently in this segment.
