Abstract

Objetivo: Avaliar o estado nutricional de pacientes oncológicos, identificar hábitos alimentares e ambientais e relacioná-los com a doença neoplásica. Metodologia: Estudo de delineamento transversal, com amostra de 39 indivíduos. Constou de avaliação antropométrica, avaliação de exames laboratoriais, avaliação subjetiva global e anamnese alimentar. Resultados: A faixa etária dos pacientes foi de 32 a 81 anos, de ambos os sexos. Foram identificados 20 tipos diferentes de neoplasias, sendo que a de mama e pulmão tiveram maior
prevalência. Em relação ao diagnóstico nutricional a maioria dos pacientes apresentou-se eutrófico (54%). Com relação à ingestão de bebidas alcoólicas e o hábito de fumar, 41% dos pacientes referem esta prática. Dos pacientes estudados, 78% referiu o consumo diário de gordura de origem animal. Considerações finais: A maioria dos pacientes apresentou uma perda gradual de peso desde o diagnóstico da patologia, e encontram-se eutróficos. Percebe-se que o tempo de convívio com a neoplasia e o grau de severidade, são fatores determinantes para o resultado da avaliação nutricional.
