CARACTERIZAÇÃO DO ÍNDICE DE MASSA CORPORAL EM PACIENTES CARDIOPATAS

Abstract

Objetivo: Traçar o perfil do índice de massa corporal (IMC) relacionando-o com a hipertensão arterial (HAS), o diabetes mellitus (DM) e o gênero de indivíduos que serão submetidos à cirurgia cardíaca. Métodos: Estudo transversal, analítico, descritivo aprovado pelo CEP/Unijuí (n°02/2011). A amostra foi composta por 38 indivíduos pré cirurgia cardíaca. Resultados: A idade média foi de 60,5±11,6 anos, sendo 24(62%) do gênero masculino (M) e 14(38%) feminino (F). As variáveis analisadas foram peso 76,2±4,8 Kg, altura de 164,1±9,0 cm. A HAS está presente em 22(57,9%) e a DM tipo 1 em 2(5,3%), tipo 2 em 11(28,9%) indivíduos. Quanto à presença de HAS: 7(58,3%) são indivíduos eutróficos; 7(43,8%) com sobrepeso, 5(83,3%) obesos classe I e 3(75,0%) obesos classe II. Quanto à presença de DM nos eutróficos: 1(8,3%) indivíduo apresenta DM tipo 1 e 1(8,3%) apresenta DM tipo 2. Quanto à presença de DM nos sobrepesos: 1(6,2%) apresenta DM tipo 1, 3(18,8%) apresenta DM tipo 2. Quanto à presença de DM nos obesos classe I: 5(83,3%) apresentam DM tipo 2. Quanto à presença de DM nos obesos classe II: 2(50%) apresentam do DM tipo 2. A classificação do IMC por gênero: para indivíduos eutróficos M 7(29%) e para F 5(35,7%), sobrepeso M 12(50%) e F 4(28,6%), obesidade classe I M 4(17%) e F 2(14,2%), obesidade classe II M 1(4%) e F 3(21,4%). Conclusão: A maioria possui HAS, distribuídos nas classificações do IMC, poucos indivíduos possuem DM, porém estes são DM tipo 2 e são obesos classe I ou II.
