Abstract

Neste trabalho propusemo-nos a analisar a relação entre expectativas profissionais e concepções em torno da docência para licenciandos em Ciências Biológicas. Para tanto, foram entrevistados sete calouros e sete formandos, a fim de perceber as razões da escolha do curso; analisar os conflitos que envolvem essa busca; conhecer a concepção de professor; buscar entender como desejam exercer seu papel profissional; comparar os perfis profissionais dos entrevistados. Assim, constatamos que o curso foi criticado por aqueles que não se identificam com ele, enquanto que os outros percebem que este fornece bom embasamento na futura profissão. Além disso, a maioria está se definindo profissionalmente, pois quando se trata de sentimento em relação à vida profissional é preciso tempo para experimentar e conhecer o papel desempenhado pela docência.
