ABSTRACT
In this paper we present a historical trajectory of the Normal Rural Course of ColégioNossaSenhoraAuxiliadora. This Institution fits within a perspective of confessional teaching, maintained by the congregation of the daughters of Mary Help of Christians, constituted by Christian concepts founded in the first half of the 20th century. Regarding the theoretical and methodological aspects, the research was based on historical document analysis and field research, based on the time frame of the decades from 1929 to 1989, a period that ranges from the creation of the normal rural course until the year in which there was officially the extinction of the course. It was possible to apprehend that in the state of Pernambuco the first “Escola Normal Rural” was that of ColégioNossaSenhoraAuxiliadora in the year 1936. Thus, the education of the Normal Course was associated with the ideas of Christianization of the Catholic Church and met the wishes of the society of the time.
