AVALIAÇÃO DA CONTAMINAÇÃO PARASITOLÓGICA DE HORTALIÇAS COMERCIALIZADAS NA CIDADE DE IJUÍ: Resultados Preliminares

As parasitoses intestinais ainda constituem um importanteproblema de saúde pública, especialmente nos países em desenvolvimento. É de fundamental importância a pesquisa e identificação de parasitas intestinais presentes em hortaliças de consumo humano, já que a contaminação, destas parasitoses, ocorre pela via oral. Este projeto pretende identificar parasitas humanosem hortaliças através da análise de alfaces provenientes do comércio Ijuí. Estão sendo coletadas amostras de supermercados tradicionais de Ijuí, bem como da feira do produtor. A pesquisa de enteroparasitas está sendo realizada após duas lavagens das mesmas. Até o momento foram analisadas amostras de quatro estabelecimentos, sendo encontrados enteroparasitas (cistos e ovos de Entamoeba coli, larvas de Ancilostomidae e larvas de Strongyloides Stercoralis) em pelo menos uma das amostras analisadas de cada local. Os resultados iniciais confirmam a necessidade de cuidados na preparação destes alimentos, evitando uma possível contaminação parasitológica dos consumidores.
